Fantastic news for all involved with AFC Darwen as we maintain our Community Charter Standard Status.
The Club’s Secretary Sarah Hindle has received confirmation that our club has passed its Charter Standard Annual Health Check and the FA have officially signed this off for another season.
Sarah has released these words:
To all our Club Committee members, Managers, Coaches and all Volunteers of AFC Darwen, Thank You for all your efforts in taking your coaching qualifications and joining the Licenced Coaches Club to continuously develop your careers. It takes a lot of effort and time for Managers, Coaches and Volunteers to keep up with the requirements of the Football Association when it comes to being a volunteer in Football, but this is essential to ensure we can provide the highest standard of support for our players.
To all our parents and Guardians of Players at our club, please rest assured that our volunteer’s trained knowledge in safeguarding children, first aid and coaching development is continually checked and improved to enable AFC Darwen to be proud of its contribution to youth football in Blackburn with Darwen.
Within the club structure we currently have vacancies for teams at the younger end boys and girls between the ages of 7 years to 12 years old.
If anyone has any questions or is interested in any of the team vacancies please do not hesitate to contact myself, team managers or any of our committee members for advice or support. Full details are on the club website at: www.afcdarwen.co.uk.
AFC Darwen will be holding open trials during the summer for teams within the club, dates to be confirmed later.
